Family Counseling Services
Families can become stuck in patterns that make it difficult to communicate, solve problems, or feel understood. Even when family members share common goals or care deeply about one another, conflict, stress, separation, divorce, parenting differences, blended family dynamics, or past hurts can lead to rigid positions and ongoing disconnection.Dr. Logan has extensive experience working with families, including families who live in one household, families who reside in two homes, separated or divorced families, and families navigating complex parenting or co-parenting dynamics. She approaches family therapy from a family systems perspective, meaning that concerns are understood within the context of relationships, interaction patterns, roles, communication styles, and the larger family environment.
Family Therapy with Dr. Logan focuses on helping family members better understand one another’s perspectives, improve communication, identify unhelpful patterns, reduce conflict, strengthen boundaries, and develop healthier ways of responding to each other. The goal is not to determine who is “right” or “wrong,” but to help the family move out of stuck positions and toward more effective connection, problem-solving, and stability.
Dr. Logan works with families who seek therapy on their own, as well as families who are involved with the court system. When Family Therapy is court-involved, treatment goals may also consider the objectives identified by the court while continuing to focus on the needs, functioning, and progress of the family system.
Family Therapy may be helpful for families experiencing communication breakdowns, parenting disagreements, divorce-related stress, co-parenting challenges, parent-child conflict, adjustment difficulties, blended family concerns, or recurring patterns of conflict that have become difficult to resolve without support.
